Higashidani Quarry Site (Osaka Castle Wall Stone Remains in Fukuda)
Old village records show that Todo Takatora (1556-1630), the famous designer and builder of many Japanese castles, operated four quarries in the Fukuda district of Shodoshima, the Higashidani, Nishinotani, Tochimenji and Taiajiro quarries.
