Near the entrance to the Teshima Ieura Hachiman Shrine, this imposing gate is made of tuff breccia, which is commonly called Teshima stone. The posts are 39 centimeters in diameter. Engraved on the left post is a date corresponding to the year 1474, and on the right post is the name and title of an official construction inspector.
